Abstract
For spontaneous subarachnoidal hemorrhage CT has become the most important neurologic examination method besides angiography because clotted blood within or outside of the brain matter can easily be detected. The high resolving power of the 160 x 160 matrix permits the detection of blood casts of a 1 – 2 mm thickness in the cortical sulcus and the cisterns (see Fig.1).
