Abstract
Experimental work and clinical experience in the field of rigid internal fixation in general (Mülleret al., 1969;Perrenet al., 1975;Rahn et al., 1975) and in mandibular fractures in particular (see Chap. B 1), provide a basis for the development of practical implant prosthetics.
