Zusammenfassung
Im vorstehenden Kapitel wurde erwähnt, daß Transformationsversuche an Eukaryonten bessere Erfolgschancen hätten, wenn man statt der Gesamt-DNS eines Spenders nur bestimmte Gene oder Gengruppen dieses Spenders, jedoch in konzentrierter Form bieten könnte (S. 97). Verfahren zur Gewinnung solcher Genkonzentrate wurden im III. Kapitel besprochen. Dort war auch zum erstenmal von Plasmiden die Rede. Sie können bei der Abtrennung und Anreicherung von Genen nützlich sein, und eine Vermehrung einzelner Gene nach Art einer Klonierung ermöglichen.
