Abstract
Total hip replacement has brought the promise of relief from hip pain, excellent gait and a satisfactory range of hip motion (1). But we have to keep in mind that total hip replacement is a major procedure and local complications such as infection, loosening of the fixation, and migration of the socket into the pelvis may lead to lifelong disability.
