Abstract
Crop vulnerability means that the crop is unsafe in that there are one or more, more or less remote and currently inoperative pathosystem factors which threaten to unbalance the system, perhaps disastrously and, possibly, permanently. It is an essential aspect of pathosystem management to identify these threats, to assess them, and then to anticipate them in order to alleviate their eventual effects.
