Zusammenfassung

Bereits im Jahre 1870 beobachtete Hoppe-Seyler, daß Lipide des Blutplasmas durch organische Lösungsmittel, wie z.B. Diäthyläther, nur unvollständig aus dem Plasma extrahiert werden können und daß Plasmalipide nicht die charakteristischen Eigenschaften einer kolloiden Fettemulsion in Wasser zeigen. Die ersten Hinweise, daß die im Plasma gelösten Lipide an Eiweiß gebunden sind, gehen auf Nerking (1901) zurück. Er entfettete mit Magnesiumchlorid gefällte lipidhaltige Fraktionen des Plasmas ausgiebig mit Äther und fand, daß nach Einwirken von proteolytischen Enzymen zusätzliche Lipide aus dem Rückstand freigesetzt werden konnten. Dies legte den Schluß nahe, daß zumindest ein Teil der im Plasma gelösten Lipide proteingebunden ist.
