Abstract
Bio-telemetry as a technical means of transmitting medical data of a patient by radio has gained a place in many medical fields. Routine application of telemetric systems within emergency care and rescue services in the USA as well as new short-term experiments in the Federal Republic of Germany have been reported and give reason for critical analysis.
