Abstract
In the pre- and post-operative periods, disturbances occur in surgical patients which require early and specific corrective measures, depending on the patient’s initial condition and on the extent of the surgery and/or the trauma. DÖLP and AHNEFELD (3) differentiate between three therapeutic steps:
-
1.
fluid replacement,
-
2.
infusion-therapy with a “minimal” diet, and
-
3.
parenteral nutrition.
