Zusammenfassung
Unzureichende präoperative Befunderhebung und mangelhafte Vorbereitung auf den Eingriff kann nicht selten als Ursache schwerwiegender intra- und postoperativer Komplikationen angesehen werden. Es muß deshalb nach wie vor ein wichtiges Anliegen sein, diese Gefahrenquelle für den Patienten zu beseitigen oder auf ein erträgliches Mindestmaß zu reduzieren. Außer der Erhebung der speziellen Anamnese und einer orientierenden Untersuchung eines jeden Patienten muß auch eine dem Fall angepaßte rechtzeitige Erhebung labortechnischer Daten gefordert werden. Die Auswertung 30.126 konsekutiver Narkosen (Tabelle 1) ergab, daß in der Gruppe, die mit ernsthaften Komplikationen belastet war, in 78% der Fälle wesentliche Befunde fehlten.
