Zusammenfassung
Alle gegenwärtig klinisch verwendeten Inhalationsanaesthetika haben spezifische Nachteile und erfüllen nicht die Bedingungen, die an ein “ideales“ Inhalationsnarkotikum zu stellen sind. Halothane und Methoxyfluran, die in den 60er Jahren den klinisch bewährten aber explosiblen Diäthyläther sowie das Cyclopropan weitgehend verdrängten, beeinträchtigen die kontraktile Funktion des Myocards erheblich. Besonders nachdem sich Berichte über lebertoxische (5) bzw. nephrotoxische (6) Nebenwirkungen häufen, erscheint es berechtigt, nach basseren Inhalationsanaesthetika zu suchen.
