Zusammenfassung

Offene Pankreasverletzungen sind meistens Schußwunden durch Splitter oder Geschosse. Sie werden deshalb zum größten Teil in der kriegschirurgischen Literatur beschrieben und sind auch hier selten. Sie machen zwischen 1/2 bis 2% der Bauchschüsse aus. Aus dem Amerikanischen Sezessionskrieg sind nur 5 Pankreasverletzungen beschrieben (Otis, 1876). Im I. Weltkrieg wurden auf 965 Bauchschüsse der Britischen Armee 5, auf 1072 Bauchschüsse der Amerikanischen Armee ebenfalls 5 Pankreasverletzungen gesehen, im II. Weltkrieg auf 3154 Bauchschüsse 62 (2%) Pankreasverletzungen (Culotta et al., 1949) im Koreakrieg 9% (Howard, 1960). Unter den Friedensverletzungen kommen zu den Schüssen auch noch Degen-, Dolch- und Messerstiche, wobei aber auch hier die Schußverletzungen mit 2/3 überwiegen. Sehr selten sind Pfählungsverletzungen beschrieben. Indessen dürfte die wirkliche Häufigkeit der Pankreasverletzungen höher liegen, weil schwerste Pankreasverletzungen wohl vor einer chirurgischen Exploration sterben, leichteste übersehen werden.
