Abstract

The meningiomas en plaque of the sphenoidal wing still present diagnostic problems of differentiating between systemic lesions of the bone and monostotical lesions destructive of the sphenoidal ridge and adjoining skull. In addition to these diagnostic difficulties the meningiomas en plaque present therapeutical problems, with respect to the necessity for surgical treatment and the right moment for operative measures.
