CSF Pulse Wave Changes in Cases with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

  • Conference paper
Intracranial Pressure II

Abstract

Following intracranial hemorrhage, long term observations of the CSF pulse wave were made under pressure (P) control. CSF pulse wave changes were observed during progressive ventricular dilatation in patients who subsequently developed normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). The changes in configuration and magnitude differed from those of obstructive hydrocephalus and brain atrophy. The changes were recognizable immediately after the intracranial hemorrhage.
