Zusammenfassung
Zur Klärung von Fragen über den Wirkungsmechanismus des Insulins und der Pathogenese des Diabetes mellitus mußten zunehmend Methoden der Grundlagenforschung angewandt werden. Das Tierexperiment bietet bei geeigneter Wahl der Tierart in Verbindung mit der entsprechenden Versuchsmethode dem menschlichen diabetischen Organismus, zumindest teilweise, vergleichbare Verhältnisse.
