21- and 18-C Urinary Steroids after the Oral Administration of DHA-S in Pregnancy

Abstract

13 patients with various obstetric complaints and alow basic value of urinary estrogen were given 75 mg of DHA-S daily for 10 days. In each case the values were taken for two days prior to starting and daily during the administration of DHA-S within the following hormonal parameters:
  • Total urinary estrogen (spectrophotometry, ROURKE, MARSHALL and SHELLEY method).

  • Urinary estriol (gas chromatography, SCOMMEGNA and CHATTORAJ method). Urinary pregnenolone and pregnanediol (gas chromatography, SCOMMEGNA method).
