Abstract
In 12 neonates whose birth-weight was below two standard deviations (Gruenwald values 2), we assessed fetal behaviour during pregnancy by determination of urinary oestriol (by gas chromatography), by hormonal evaluation of vaginal smears and by repeated cardiotocographic tracing analysis (Table 1).
