The term structure rheology1) means that subdiscipline of rheology, which tries to elucidate the connections between the structural parameters of a system and its rheological behaviour. Applied to such a complex body as living tissue, this seems a very ambitions aim, which we are far from even approaching. When we want to demonstrate a relation between structure and rheological properties, we have to confine ourselves to a rather simplified system. This paper will only deal with solutions. The first section is devoted to dilute, and the second to concentrated ones.
