Abstract
The papers carried out already show in an impressive manner the variety of biophysical phenomena of connective tissue systems particular of loose connective tissues as blood vessels. If we try to arrange these phenomena in respect of the point of view of continuum mechanics they can be outlined as follows:
-
with respect to their histostructure vascular tissues are multiphase, inhomogeneous, and anisotropic,
-
their biomechanical laws are of non-BOLTZMANN type,
-
historheologically they are nonlinearily viscoelastic or elastoviscid depending on whether the properties of elastic solids or viscous fluids are prevailing having little plastic properties,
-
and finally they are prestressed by active elements, a property which is highly time-dependent.
