Abstract

During the last 16 years the piezoelectric polarisation of several connective tissues has been investigated. Among others the piezoelectric constants for bone, tendon and skin were published in [1] [4] [3] [5] [10]. All these treatises were based on homogenity and an anisotropy only given by a macroscopic orientation of the collagen fibers.
