Einige aktuelle onkologische Probleme des Gastrointestinaltraktes

Zusammenfassung

Da etwa 30% aller bösartigen Geschwülste im Gastrointestinaltrakt zu finden sind, stehen sie neben dem Bronchialkarzinom und den Genitalkarzinomen nicht nur in Österreich, sondern weltweit in der Spitzengruppe der Häufigkeit der Krebssterbefälle. Sie sind am häufigsten im Magen zu finden (60%), weitere 30% haben ihre Lokalisation im Kolon oder im Rektum, während die Malignome der Speiseröhre, des Pankreas und des Dünndarmes in absteigender Reihenfolge nur wenige Prozent der Neoplasien ausmachen.
