The Gastrin-Producing Cell

Abstract

The gastrin-producing cell (G cell) is characterized by the fact that it occurs exclusively in the antral mucosa and the duodenum, i. e. the area from which gastrin has been extracted [10], and by certain ultrastructural and histochemical features present in different species.
