Zusammenfassung

Die äußere Längsmuskulatur des Oesophagus setzt sich ohne Unterbrechung auf den Magen fort. Besonders stark entwickelt sind diese Fasern an der großen und kleinen Kurvatur. Der gleichmäßig ausgeprägten Ringmuskelschicht ist noch eine weitere innere Muskelschicht aufgelagert, die Fibrae obliquae. Sie sind besonders im Fundus ausgeprägt und laufen in einem vorderen und hinteren Band schräg abwärts, um im unteren Magendrittel in die dort kontinuierlich zunehmende Ringmuskelschicht überzugehen. Eine Konzentration von Bindegewebsfasern trennt am Pylorus die Zirkulärmuskelschicht von Magen und Duodenum, nur einige Fasern der Längsmuskulatur verbinden die beiden Anteile.
