Die Anwendung extrakorporaler Zirkulation in der Herzchirurgie ist mit einer Reihe pathophysiologischer Veränderungen verbunden. Hierzu gehören vor allem Mikroembolisationen im Bereich der Kapillargebiete des Gehirns, der Lunge, der Niere und des Herzens (1).
