Summary
One of the major problems attaching to process control is to present the information processed by the system to the process operator in an easily comprehensible manner. This problem has two aspects, viz. the presentation of the information and the means of selecting the information. In the NORDKRAFT system one of the main operator inter facer is a graphical datascreen with lightpen and keyboard. The operator selects “pictures” by means of the keyboard, showing either a subsection of the plant or trend “pictures” composed by himself. Further interaction with the screen is effected by means of the lightpen. The values displayed are represented in digital or analog manner dependent on the use thereof.
