A Computer Algorithm of Variable Structure for the Control of Complex Objects

Abstract

In the present work a control algorithm for complex industrial processes is presented. These processes are assumed to consist of several interconnected objects. That algorithm is based upon the idea of distinguishing the different working regions of the controlled objects.

A methodology is here presented, for formulating a control algorithm of variable structure, and its use for heirarchical control is demonstrated. An application example of a distillation process is also given.
