Summary
Nokia PP 6506 Autobleach is an on-line process computer system developed in co-operation by the Finnish industrial companies, Oy Kaukas Ab and Oy Nokia Ab. The basic features of the system are mathematical models for each bleaching stage, modular design of hardware and software which makes it possible to adapt the system to different bleaching plants, and simple operation. Autobleach can be connected to conventional process instrumentation. The Polarox- analyzer used in measuring the concentration of free chlorine and the Coram brightness transmitter, both of them planned and manufactured in Finland, belong to the analog instrumentation delivered - when needed - with Autobleach. The objectives set for Autobleach - even quality of intermediate and final product with the lowest possible consumption of chemicals - have been well reached in practice.
