Summary

The main goals of the DAPP project were to improve the knowledge about computer control in the Norwegian paper industry, to install a computer system including some recently developed software systems, and to test out modern control theories in the control of a kraft paper machine. The organization of the project and the computer control system, which was completed in early 1973, are described.
