Zusammenfassung

Etwa jede 6. Ehe bleibt ungewollt kinderlos (Doepfmer, 1960). Die Ursachen dafür lassen sich in den meisten Fällen mit der bisher üblichen gynäkologischen und andrologischen Routinediagnostik feststellen; in einem Prozentsatz von 10 bis 15% jedoch versagt die Ursachenforschung und bleibt ergebnislos (Bickenbach und Döring, 1959). In einer Zeit, in der immunologische Fragestellungen einen immer breiteren Raum in Biologie und Medizin einnehmen, lag es nahe, zu fragen, ob immunologische Faktoren in Fällen unerklärbarer Sterilität von Bedeutung sind.
