Gene Expression in Fungi

  • Chapter
Fortschritte der Botanik

Part of the book series: Fortschritte der Botanik ((BOTANY,volume 35))

Abstract

This review covers the field of genetic regulatory mechanisms in fungi. Publications on work restricted to the use of actinomycin D and cycloheximide as tools to study regulation of gene expression have been neglected, only investigations using mutants with altered regulatory functions will be discussed. Articles have been chosen to illustrate problems and principles emerging. It has not been attempted to provide a complete bibliography.
