Zusammenfassung
Normalerweise kommt ein Muskelaktionspotential zustande, wenn die Depolarisierung der präsynaptischen Membran durch einen Nervenimpuls über eine Freisetzung von Acetylcholin zu einer Depolarisierung der postsynaptischen Membran führt (Abb. 1). An der Nervenendigung wird Acetylcholin durch Acetylase aus Essigsäure und Cholin synthetisiert und unter der präsynaptischen Membran gespeichert. Freigesetztes Acetylcholin geht eine Bindung mit Receptorproteinen der postsynaptischen Membran ein und wird dann durch Acetylcholin-Esterase, die an der postsynaptischen Membran vorhanden ist, hydrolisiert.
