Part of the book series: Ergebnisse der Inneren Medizin und Kinderheilkunde ((KINDERHEILK. NF,volume 33))

Abstract

The long history of epidemic jaundice and the outbreaks of hepatitis which followed the introduction of large-scale parenteral therapy in venereal disease clinics, diabetic clinics, tuberculosis sanatoria and immunization centres, and hepatitis associated with the transfusion of blood and blood products, have recently been reviewed (Zuckerman, 1970a, Memorandum: World Health Organization, 1970).

From the Department of Microbiology, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (University of London), Keppel Street, London, WClE 7 HT. England. (Head of the Hepatitis Unit: Dr. A.J. Zuckerman.)
