Let u (x, y) be a function in a domain G (connected open set), such that -∞ ≦ u < +∞ in G. That is, -∞ is an admissible value of u , while +∞ is not. Such a function is subharmonic in G if it satisfies the following conditions (Riesz [5], part I, p.333).
