Zusammenfassung
An vielen Organen und Geweben wird deutlich, daβ die Beziehungen zwischen Struktur und Funktion urn so offensichtlicher werden, je kleiner die Beobachtungsdimension ist. So ist auch die funktionell morphologische Korrelation mit der Ultrastruktur der Capillaren besser gelungen als mit den mikroskopisch sichtbaren Merkmalen und Besonderheiten verschiedener Capillargebiete. Das ist einer der Gründe, warum an dieser Stelle auf eine ausführliche Darstellung der mikroskopischen Anatomie der terminalen Strombahn verzichtet wird, zumal es eine Reihe guter Übersichtsartikel gibt (ILLIG, 1961; STAUBESAND, 1964; MAJNO, 1965; HAMMERSEN, 1968; ROHEN u. CASTENHOLZ, 1969).
