Abstract

Altogether 87 cats were used in this study. The animals were from 7 to 89 days of age at the time of operation and they were killed from 24 hours to 14 days later. Sixty-nine animals had appropriate operative lesions and 18 had insufficient lesions. The latter group is not included in the tables of the experimental animals (Tables 1–6, p. 15–26) but the brains were used for evaluation of the degree of myelination in the various age groups.
