Part of the book series: Die Grundlehren der mathematischen Wissenschaften ((GL,volume 181))

Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to give the fundamental results of the theory of trace and interpolation spaces in the Hilbert case. Some indications about the possible generalizations to the non-Hilbert case are given in the Comments and in Section 14 along with the basic literature. Sections 10, 12 (except 12.1), 13–15, although used in the sequel, may be skipped on first reading.
