Im Zeitalter der Kunststoffe, das wir nun auch in der Chirurgie erleben, nimmt es nicht wunder, wenn die Transplantation von Dermisfettgewebelappen als antiquiertes Verfahren angesehen and für Mammakorrekturen sogar ganz abgelehnt wird. Zahlreiche Erfolgsberichte über alloplastische Implantate scheinen these Ansicht ebenso zu bestätigen wie Nfitteilungen über Volumenverlust and Sätkomplikationen each Dermisfettgewebetransplantationen. Ein Gutteil dieser Einstellung geht jedoch auch auf das Konto psychologischer Verkaufswerbung, wonach als fortschrittlich eben nur jener Chirurg gelten kann, der eine Brust mit den neuesten Kunststoffeinlagen vergrößert.
