Renal Whole-Body Clearance

Summary

With renal whole-body clearance without catheter, the removal of clearance substance is measured in the body. The clearance is calculated from the differential quotient and the plasma concentration 20 and 25 minutes p. i., applying the Fick principle. The whole-body clearance and the steady-state clearance are in good agreement. Two scintillation detectors, each consisting of a 2″ sodium iodide crystal without collimator and a well-type scintillation counter, are used for measurement.
