Abstract
The structure of a macromolecule may be considered as a detailed recording of catalytic events. Hence the determination of the microstructure of suitable macromolecules is a means to clarify the stereochemical polymerization mechanism. By this route we tackled some problems concerning the stereospecific polymerization of α-olefins. In particular, we will discuss some results concerning the mechanism of addition to the double bond and the steric control.
