Abstract

No picture of Sherrington would be complete without a sampling of his more concentrated correspondence with a group of long-time friends. In this chapter we shall follow his ideas, hopes and fears as he writes to Harvey Cushing, Osier’s two bibliographers William Francis and Archibald Malloch, Sir Geoffrey Jefferson, A. V. Hill, Edgar Adrian, John Fulton, Howard Florey and John Eccles.
