Abstract
The examples considered in the previous chapters have been designed for the purpose of illustration. Now, in order to prove the ability of the described methods to solve realistic problems, we present some examples extracted from the literature concerning compartmental modelling. These examples are fairly typical. They will show in particular the simplicity of the local study, the power of exhaustive modelling and the coherence of the results obtained with these two approaches.
