Zusammenfassung
Angesichts extrem vielschichtiger Wechselbeziehungen zwischen den internationalen Finanzmärkten könnte es sich bei Prognosemodellen, denen die „traditionelle“ isolierte Betrachtung des zu prognostizierenden Marktes zugrundeliegt, bereits a priori um Fehlspezifikationen handeln. Um Interdependenzen adäquat zur Prognose nutzen zu können, müßte daher an die Stelle der mehrfachen Prognose isoliert betrachteter Märkte die simultane und interdependente Prognose mehrerer Teilmärkte — im Idealfall aller Märkte — treten.
In diesem Beitrag stellen wir einem „Weltmodell“ integrierter Finanzmärkte traditionelle Prognoseverfahren gegenüber, um die Vor- und Nachteile eines simultanen Ansatzes gegenüber mehrfachen Partialmodellen herauszuarbeiten. Erste Ergebnisse deuten auf eine leichte Überlegenheit des integrierten Ansatzes hin.
