Abstract
A novel approach to establish virus resistance in plants is based on recent progress to clone regions of immunoglobulin genes which encode the antigen binding domains of the variable regions of the heavy (VH) and the light chains (VL) of antiviral monoclonal antibodies (mAb) and to express these polypeptide chains connected by a linker peptide as single-chain fragments (scFv).
