Summary
This paper presents the results of visualization and quantitative measurements of the velocity field in a laminar water flow through a U-bend of square cross section and a branching tube of square cross section with 45-deg. branch angle, which was made using a laser-induced fluorescence method in order to know the detailed flow field in the curved and branching regions.
