Abstract
In most cases the existing services appear to be complex models, because more than one form of water distribution service is present at the same time. The current arrangements have been influenced by many cultural, economical, political, historical, social factors, so that no system could be easily exported to other situations, but it can represent a useful tool of comparison, in order to bring on new water management systems in the countries which now adopt obsolete and uneconomic systems.
