Abstract
ANG II binding sites have been identified by radioligand binding studies or by autoradiography in almost all tissues on which ANG II actions have been described (Table 7.1). Most of these sites satisfy criteria required for positive identification of receptors, i.e. binding is rapid, saturable, reversible, and specific to ANG II peptides, and the binding sites have high affinity with an equilibrium dissociation constant (Kd) comparable to ED50 of its in vitro effect.
