Abstract
Bioclimatology is defined in the preface to Advances in Bioclimatology as “the study of the relations between the physical environment and the form and function of living organisms”. Such a definition largely confines the discipline to the proximity of the land surface, the interface between the atmospheric boundary layer, vegetation and the soil surface.
