Abstract

The increased pace of industrial and urban development calls for special attention to atmospheric protection. Air control is a necessary condition for the success of atmospheric protection activities. The Main Admistration of Hydrometeorology of Belarus monitors air pollution in 14 cities with more than 65% of urban population and measures gamma radiation dose rates in 53 cities. (Figure 1).
