Zusammenfassung
Unter den Sekretionsstörungen (Dyschylien) der Speicheldrüsen stellen die Sialadenosen ein gut abgrenzbares Krankheitsbild dar. Das charakteristische klinische Merkmal ist eine von der Nahrungsaufnahme unabhängige, meist rezidivierende und schmerzlose, nichtentzündliche doppelseitige Schwellung der Speicheldrüsen, insbesondere der Parotis, die bei den betroffenen Patienten zu einem „hamsterartigen“ Gesichtsausdruck führt (Rauch 1959; Seifert 1964a; Seifert et al. 1984). Der Altersgipfel liegt im 4.–7. Lebensjahrzehnt. Eine ausgeprägte Geschlechtsdisposition besteht nicht. Im Speichelsekret findet sich eine mäßige Abnahme der Amylaseaktivität und eine geringe Verschiebung des Na-/K-Quotienten (geringe Kaliumerhöhung, mäßige Verminderung der Natriumkonzentration). Die Sialographie zeigt zarte engkalibrige Ausführungsgänge und in der Spätphase der Erkrankung das Bild des „entlaubten Winterbaumes“.
