Abstract
The genus Lavatera (Malvaceae) consists of about 45 species, mainly distributed in the Mediterranean region but also extending to the Canary Islands, N.W. Himalayas, Central Asia, E. Siberia, Australia, and the USA (California)/(Fernandes 1968b).
