Zusammenfassung
Im Gegensatz zu chronischen Schmerzen benigner Genese sind Krebs-schmerzen fast immer mit einer spezifischen pathologischen Läsion assoziiert. Diese Läsion kann durch invasives Tumorwachstum, Druck auf ein Organ, Gefäßinfiltration, Knochenbefall, Narbenbildung nach Operationen oder durch Auswirkungen strahlentherapeutischer Maß-nahmen verursacht sein. Wie auch chronische Schmerzen benigner Genese können Krebsschmerzen Gemütsstörungen hervorrufen, die den Schmerz überlagern und verstärken können. Neben diesen psychi-schen Faktoren können auch die Beschäftigung des Patienten mit dem Tod und daraus resultierende Verzweiflung die Schmerzen verstärken. Krebsschmerzen sollten ebenso wie chronische Schmerzen benigner Genese mit Hilfe eines multidisziplinären Therapieansatzes behandelt werden. Biostimulationsverfahren sind aufgrund des günstigen Kosten- Nutzen-Verhältnisses besonders attraktiv.
